DIY baby carrier~

yayness! i finally made my own baby carrier!

the fabric from ikea costs $20 and since i can make two carriers with it, this carrier only costs me $10 to make!

the straps are wider than my chicco carrier, meaning my shoulders hurt less from the weight of whichever mini man i’m carrying. best thing about the fabric carrier is that it feels much lighter because the fabric is much thinner and lighter than the ultra-padded carrier!!

need to add in a back panel for additional support.. maybe this weekend bah~

somebody obviously does not want to have a photo taken with mama :’(

i can’t wait to use it! and i really hope it doesn’t break X’D

anyways, i got the tutorial from here and here! the japanese site recommended 130-140cm for the fabric length, while the english site recommended 142cm. i thought it’d be safer to stick with angmoh dimensions since most of us are considered LARGE in japanese sizing charts anyways..

it turns out that 142cm is indeed to loose for my build, so.. i shall try to make a smaller one next time.. lalala~

thanks kummie! but i already made two of these so i won’t be making them anymore (sian already mah) :P
i wore it for two days last weekend!! shoulders not painful but back quite painful after walking some distance, i think it’s due to the weight of the baby :(

Hi cJ, do you know the exact same baby carrier is selling at SGD11 at GMarket?

And it’s selling pretty well! You can open online shop selling your self-manufactured items! :)
